Recycling means learning from nature that nothing is lost and everything can be reused...

After nearly a year in the planning, CREATES was launched in May 2006. Originally inspired by an Italian scheme, Remida, in the Municipality of Emilio Reggio in Northern Italy, TaG's vision for CREATES was to offer a fun, hands-on, creative way to educate both children and adults in the importance of recycling.   

 

CREATES brings together public and private bodies with the common aim of raising recycling and environmental awareness, and actively encouraging recycling within the local business community.

CREATES is an optimistic and proactive way to approach environmentalism and build change, exploiting reject materials, faulty products and otherwise worthless objects to foster new opportunities for communication and creativity in the spirit of respect for objects, the environment and for human beings. It is a collaboration between the world of industry, commerce, public authorities, educational services and the world of art and culture. Therefore it is - above all - a cultural project - and a place for promoting the idea that waste materials are a resource.

We believe that innovation and education form the key to achieving cultural change regarding the perception of waste.
